For the past 4 years, PlanetMagpie has entered the
Web Marketing Association's annual WebAward competition. Each year they've won at least one WebAward.
This year, they continued the pattern by winning two more.
PlanetMagpie won "Outstanding Website" for
ConductorMAX.mobi, a mobile version of the popular ACE Rail commuter website. They also won the "Food Industry Standard of Excellence" award for
breadbaskets.com, an ecommerce site developed for Clipper Mill in San Francisco.
Thousands of websites are submitted to the WebAwards judges every year, from around the world. They choose winners in 96 categories. Resulting awards are regarded as one of the Internet's top recognitions for business.
Judges score the entries for 7 criteria: Design, Innovation, Content, Technology, Interactivity, Copywriting and Ease of Use. These scores are then weighed against industry averages and WebAward entry averages. The top scorers are awarded Standards of Excellence, Outstanding Websites, Best Web Site of Industry, and (only one) Best of Show.
The WebAward judges gave this comment on their Outstanding Website award for ConductorMAX.Mobi:
"Excellent use of mobile technology. The interface looks well on the PC also. The maps are also helpful for passengers. Easy to navigate."
