Senior Web Developer
Location: Campbell, CA
Job description
We are currently seeking a Web Programmer/Web Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality dynamic websites and internal applications primarily using ASP.Net and SQL Server.
Qualified individuals will have 3+ years of working with ASP.Net (C# or VB.Net) and relational databases. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and/or SQL Reporting Services is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs and codes superior technical solutions.
- Understands the diverse benefits of the major programming languages.
- Creates well designed, reusable objects.
- Understands browser-specific compatibility issues.
- Understands the benefits of multiple design methodologies and object-oriented environments.
- Creates efficient and logical databases for clients.
- Creates and executes project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Communicates and enforces coding standards.
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to clients within budget and project schedule.
- Understands how to appropriately communicate difficult/sensitive information.
- Understands complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs.
- Develops productive relationships with client personnel.
- Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.
- Build positive client relationships by developing an understanding of customers' businesses.
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree plus three years of experience in software development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working within disciplined software development approaches, including test-driven development, refactoring, and object-oriented analysis/design.
- Significant work experience with all of the following languages and tools:
- Professional standards-based web development using ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- .NET based language (C#, VB.Net)
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- Experience using Visual Studio or related IDE
- Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications.
- Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software, with a focus on usability.
