OVERVIEW

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) provides a complete system in which to build custom, interactive websites. MOSS 2007 supports all intranet, extranet and enterprise-level Web applications within one integrated platform, instead of relying on separate fragmented systems.

FEATURES

  1. Web Content Management (WCM) system, for publishing websites, articles, blogs, Wikis and more without advanced HTML programming
  2. Site Templates available in multiple configurations (i.e., Document Center, Collaboration Portal, Homepage)
  3. Use Office SharePoint Designer 2007 to modify site templates, or create entirely new pages using drag-and-drop editing
  4. Update website content using MOSS 2007’s built-in content editor
  5. Included Variations feature, letting you create and maintain multiple versions of a site (i.e., localized sites)
  6. Permissions-based access to content for partners, teams, specific markets, etc.
  7. Enterprise Search function combs through web pages, business databases, external sites and available user content
